Otras acciones que han favorecido la nutrición y alimentación de la población indígena han sido: El Plan de Siembra Secano-Verano que en convenio con el Ministerio del Poder Popular para el Ambiente (MPPA), ha rendido sus frutos en la siembra de 3.400 hectáreas de tierras indígenas y en la distribución de 85 toneladas de semillas en rubros como: maíz, caraotas, tomate, cilantro, pimentón y auyama y con financiamientos agrícolas para la siembra de rubros alimenticios, y para poner en marcha proyectos socio-productivos, con lo cual se han beneficiado, entre otras, las comunidades indígenas Yukpa, Bari y productores indígenas del estado Anzoátegui.
