20. Pursuant to paragraph 9 of resolution 1143 (1997), the Committee submitted a report on 30 January 1998 on the refining and clarifying of its working procedures (S/1998/92).

Для ознакомления всех государств-членов с предпринятыми Советом Безопасности за последние годы усилиями по повышению эффективности и транспарентности его операций члены Совета просили Секретариат подготовить обновленный вариант предметного указателя записок и заявлений Председателя Совета Безопасности, касающихся документации и процедуры (S/2002/1000, приложение).

In order to familiarize all Member States with efforts made by the Security Council in recent years to increase the effectiveness and transparency of its operations, the members of the Council asked the Secretariat to update the 2002 descriptive index of notes and statements by the President of the Security Council relating to documentation and procedure (S/2002/1000, annex).

В пункте 15 резолюции 1153 (1998) Совет просил Комитет осуществить меры и предпринять шаги, упомянутые в его докладе о рабочих процедурах (S/1998/92), рассмотреть соответствующие замечания и рекомендации, изложенные в докладе Генерального секретаря от 1 февраля 1998 года (S/1998/90), и представить доклад Совету к 31 марта 1998 года и в последующем продолжать проводить, по мере необходимости, обзоры своих процедур.

21. By paragraph 15 of resolution 1153 (1998), the Council requested the Committee to implement the measures and take action on the steps referred to in its report on working procedures (S/1998/92), to consider the relevant observations and recommendations referred to in the report of the Secretary-General of 1 February 1998 (S/1998/90), to report to the Council by 31 March 1998 and thereafter to continue to review its procedures whenever necessary.
