On 23 May 1991 the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova enacted a Law to change the name of the sovereign State of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Moldova and the Supreme Soviet to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

65. 23 мая 1991 года Верховный Совет Советской Социалистической Республики Молдова принял закон об изменении названия суверенного государства - вместо Советской Социалистической Республики Молдова оно стало называться Республикой Молдова - и названия высшего законодательного органа - вместо Верховного Совета он стал называться парламентом Республики Молдова.

On 23 June 1990 under the circumstances of the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the legislative body of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, the Supreme Soviet adopted a declaration concerning the sovereignty of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

The selfish defence of capitalism by the bourgeois ideologists (and their hangers-on, like the Tseretelis, Chernovs, and Co.) consists in that they substitute arguing and talk about the distant future for the vital and burning question of present-day politics, namely, the expropriation of the capitalists, the conversion of all citizens into workers and other employees of one huge "syndicate" - the whole state - and the complete subordination of the entire work of this syndicate to a genuinely democratic state, the state of the Soviets of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies.

Корыстная защита капитализма буржуазными идеологами (и их прихвостнями вроде гг. Церетели, Черновых и К°) состоит именно в том,, что спорами и разговорами о далеком будущем они подменяют насущный и злободневный вопрос сегодняшней политики: экспроприацию капиталистов, превращение всех граждан в работников и служащих одного крупного «синдиката», именно: всего государства, и полное подчинение всей работы всего этого синдиката государству действительно демократическому, государству Советов рабочих и солдатских депутатов.
